Sites like backpage replacement

Someone sent me a link to Localxlist this morning, and I couldn’t contain my excitement. I’ve wanted a feline companion for a while now – a furry, purring little cat to keep me company since my last incident when I was banned from bringing my laptop into Starbucks. Imagine my surprise when the site turned out to be not a directory of clawed animals waiting to be adopted but of full-grown humans waiting to be fucked. Luckily, more than a few cougars are looking to get a little petting later… That’s right, folks. Localxlist is a free adult classified. The site has been around for a few years and receives hundreds of thousands of monthly visitors. This seems like a healthy amount of traffic, but the question for escort sites is how well the numbers translate to your local selection. Since there are still a few days until porn stars come to revisit the Localxlist couch, at least that night seemed like a good time to look for new friends.

Backpage List Style Friendship Ads

The domain name Localxlist was registered in 2018, much later than  I thought. When I opened the homepage and saw the layout, I thought they might have started their service around 2010, when Backpage stopped adult ads. Visually, Localxlist looks very similar to the Newmark website, the old backpage replacement. It’s a pretty unfriendly layout in 2024, with the front page being all text, an outdated color scheme, and poor formatting of the highlighted ads at the bottom. It would be pretty infuriating to pay for only half of it to be hidden. Like many competitors, the Localxlist front page is organized by location. Technically, it’s a global site with sections for Africa, Latin America, Europe, and the rest of the world. But in reality, there isn’t enough activity in most areas to make the site truly useful. But it’s not all bad news. They have thousands of ads in the US, hundreds in Canada, and a handful worldwide. Currently, only one ad from Africa and 44 from Europe, while Americans have 10,000 to choose from.  However, I was worried that many of these entries would be outdated. They’re

upfront about how many escorts are online in a given area, including just over 500 out of every 10,000 workers in the US. After digging around Localxlist help pages, I found some encouraging information. I learned that classified ads are automatically deleted after a month, minimizing the number of old, useless listings.

Looking at the listings for individual cities,  the numbers don’t seem to add up. Why do cities like Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, and Denver each have thousands of listings, yet only 10,000 in the US? It turns out that Localxlist also offers persistent profiles that can be accessed by escort search, client search, or city. It’s a bit complicated, but hopefully, it makes your search easier.

Slide into a female  Excort DM

Localxlist is one of the few escort sites that lets you search for “who’s online.” I’m in the Chicago suburbs today, so I entered a Chi-Town zip code to see who was available. There needs to be a distance filter, even in an advanced search. This is a real shame. I’m set, but I’ll have to explore the area separately.

I’m writing this review on a Wednesday afternoon, and there are only four local escorts online right now. This is as disappointing as the lack of a distance filter, but I found a silver lining. Localxlist has an internal messaging system, which is very unusual for this type of website. There is a sexy girl named Kate with a verified badge online not far from me, and you can access these DMs directly from the site itself.  Some people don’t want to create an account on an escort website, and  I get it. Who needs a paper trail for anything, let alone a lady of the night? If you don’t want to use the internal messaging system, you can always go the old-fashioned way. The contact information is clearly listed; you don’t need a Localxlist account to check it. Kate has a phone number and a Gmail address listed, so you have options even if she goes offline. Localxlist itself can be very explicit, including suggestive images. While many of these sites require you to remember a lot of secret codes and shortcuts, Kate posted an ad explaining in clear English that she is ready to give  GFE,  face sit, and do some bareback anal sex up close. Kate’s photo series is not as sleazy as some other kittens here, but she is so attractive that I would love to see more.

How I Met to Partner

Chicago is large and has many zip codes, so Localxlist couldn’t show you all the local Localxlist based on your zip code. When I searched the entire Chicago section, I found a much more extensive selection of women, including 20  online and over 50 not online. Suddenly, the choice wasn’t so bad. Today, several new Chicago classifieds were released, offering meet-ups, fetish fun, and respectful, sophisticated women. The awkward text-based navigation means you can’t see what these girls are like until you click and read the ad. I understand they are going for the old-school Backpage aesthetic, but it’s a poor design for an escort directory. Whatever anyone may say, the cover is one of the best ways to judge a book.

However, besides the ad title, they list other relevant information. Some more recent ads have those above the “Verified” badge, and all have a LOCALXLIST score. Localxlist has a trust rating system called LOCALXLIST that helps you check the safety of the ads. This number is based on verified IDs, information provided, user votes, and user reviews. Oh, let’s talk about those reviews. This has become one of the features that has most distinguished escort sites to me in recent years because, honestly, have you ever bought anything online without reading the reviews first? Localxlist takes this feature further than others; reviews are only published once their employees have reviewed and verified. Users must fill out an entire three-page form, after which both parties are contacted. This is a much more rigorous process than the usual “fill it and we’ll publish it” approach. I need clarification on why LOCALXLIST scores aren’t included in the search filters, nor are verification badges or user reviews. These are great features that I’d like to see implemented everywhere, but they feel well-spent, mainly in the overall lackluster interface. A user search for a Chicago zip code yielded about 150,000 users with almost no options to narrow down the selection. This isn’t very pleasant for everyone, from escorts and clients who can’t find each other to web admins who lose traffic to better platforms. Still, Localxlist is the wrong website. While I understand what they’re trying to achieve with the design,  the Backpage-style presentation does more harm to the site than it does to draw users in. However, aside from the outdated interface,  the reliability ratings and verified user reviews are some of the best features of any escort site I’ve seen recently. The world’s oldest industry has always been a hotbed of scams, and this ugly website has one of the better safeguards against it.
